Five things

There are five things that the world tells you that Jesus never said. Number One: Follow your heart. Jesus never said that. Jesus said "follow me" and the bible makes it very clear that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who could understand it? Number Two: The world will always tell you to be true to yourself but Jesus never said that. He said whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and follow me. They must deny themselves not be true to themselves take up their cross and follow me. Number three: Believe in yourself is something the world will always tell you. Jesus did not say that he said "Believe in me for I am the way the truth and the light and no one comes to the father but through me." Number Four: Live your truth but Jesus never said that in the bible. He said to the Jews "I am the truth and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." Number Five: As long as you're happy that is all that matters. Jesus never said that. In fact Jesus said, "What would it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul?" My friend make sure your lingo isn't reflecting the ways of the world but reflecting the life and words of Jesus.
