Willful sin has consequences

Willful sin has consequences. I'm reminding myself of that today, because that little voice in my head from the devil says, You already did it. You already reset your 100 day streak. What's the big deal. It's natural. God put that desire in you for a reason. Just do it. It's not a big deal. But it is a big deal. Lust is a sin that we must flee from. It's a huge deal. Let me read you what the Bible says about this. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. You will obey me.

This is what he has to say 1 Corinthians 6:9-10  "Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." If you want to get a little further into this, Hebrews10:26 says "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?"

I can not allow Jesus's grace for me to be an excuse for me to do things that I just love in the moment more than I love God. If I love God if I love Jesus I will obey all that he has commanded me to obey. Men fall. Women fall. We can fall. That's okay. But we need to be moving in a direction. We can not be standing still or going backwards. And sometimes it feels like you're starting at square one. I know I'm not. I know I've learned a lot over these past 100 days. And I know this. Fearing God is the beginning of wisdom. And fearing God is a good thing. And that's what I'm going to continue to do. --Repentant Believer

Believing in Jesus is essential

Believing in Jesus is essential but Jesus says there's a kind of belief that's not enough. Let me explain. John 2 says many believed in Jesus because of the miracles, but Jesus didn't entrust himself

Why are you still here?

Think about this. If desire never moves into seeking is it really desire or merely curiosity? Because it is only as I seek the object of my desire that I'll actually obtain it. Let me explain. David s

Many called Few chosen

Matthew 22:14 For many are called but few are chosen. At first it almost sounds unfair. Why would God call many but only choose a few? And what if I'm not one of those few? I'm sitting right here look
